Welcome!

Ok, so here is how this blog will work. I will put out ballet dances from time to time for anybody to look at and learn. Most of the dances are easy or intermediate, but you can tell by looking at the bottom of the post. Also, most of the dances are good for either girls or boys to perform, but I am a girl, so there may be slightly more that are geared towards girls. A lot of them are solos, but I might put duets in there every once in a while. I really hope you enjoy this blog and I hope that it helps you grow as a ballet dancer!

Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid

Look at this stuff-Balance
Isn't it neat?-Balance
Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?-Pas de bourree
Wouldn't you think I'm the girl-Step forward, arabesque, bring leg down while turning
The girl who has everything?-Outstretch arms, hug them in on everything
Look at this trove-Spin while looking around
Treasures untold-Circle arms up
How many wonders can one cavern hold?-Bring arms down, accent them
Looking around here you think-Step forward
Sure, she's got everything-Shrug on sure, spin
I've got gadgets and gizmos a-plenty-Hold out right hand, hold out left hand, bring them down
I've got whozits and whatzits galore-Repeat, but higher
You want thingamabobs?-Move to quaze with arms in middle 5th
I've got twenty!-Close, hold out arms
But who cares?-Circle right foot one inch off the ground, jump on it
No big deal- Circle left foot one inch off the ground, jump on it
I want more-Close, arms hug
I wanna be where the people are-Step forward, arabesque, put that leg down and put other leg in attitude front while spinning
I wanna see, wanna see them dancin'-Place leg, coupe, go into quaze with arms
Walking around on those - what do you call 'em?-Do two waltz turns, stop abrubtly
Oh - feet!-Smile, relax
Flippin' your fins, you don't get too far- Step forward, arabesque, put that leg down and put other leg in attitude front while spinning
Legs are required for jumping, dancing-Arabesque, move to passé, turn
Strolling along down a - what's that word again?- Do two waltz turns, stop abrubtly

Street-Quick bourree turn
Up where they walk-Lift both arms and right leg
Up where they run-Lift both arms and left leg
Up where they stay all day in the sun-Walk in circle with arms up
Wanderin' free - wish I could be-Hug arms in, bring them out
Part of that world-Pas de cheval forward, arabesque
What would I give if I could live out of these waters?-Circle leg in air to front, arabesque other leg circle it around. Coupe, step back, bring front leg back
What would I pay to spend a day warm on the sand?-Pas de bourree twice, twist upper body twice
Bet'cha on land they understand-Pas de cheval forward twice
That they don't reprimand their daughters-Pas de cheval back twice
Proper women sick of swimmin'-Turn twice
Ready to stand-Changema with arms up
And ready to know what the people know-Outstretch arms, turn with back leg in coupe, jump up to passé, place in front
Ask 'em my questions and get some answers-Two changemas, up to passé, move foot front and back 3 times
What's a fire and why does it - what's the word?-Extend to side attitude, bring leg down while turning
Burn?-Bring arms in with fists clenched
When's it my turn?-Extend arms out
Wouldn't I love, love to explore that world up above?-Walk in circle, turn with arms in, bring arms up
Out of the sea-Bring arms down
Wish I could be-Back leg up to passé, down to 5th
Part of that world-Look up longingly
